King Charles Health Update: Monarch Is 'Responding Really Well' to Cancer Treatments Amid Concern for William and Harry
Good news from Buckingham Palace as King Charles III continues to receive treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer.
"I am hearing that he's actually responding genuinely, really well to treatment," royal expert Charlotte Griffiths told an outlet.
"And everyone in the royal household is feeling positive and upbeat about how he's responding," she added.
The monarch was stricken with the insidious disease in early February after it was found during his routine procedure to correct an enlarged prostate the month before.
"Most people will know within weeks to months if treatments are working, which can be an incredibly anxious-ridden time for them and their loved ones," a former palace aide shared. "So this is certainly good news for the King given his age, and I am sure it has boosted everyone's spirits throughout his court and family."
The positive news comes amid the monarch's reported wish for "reconciliation" between his estranged sons, Princes William and Harry.
"The idea that William is looking for a reconciliation is for the birds," Griffiths observed. "This is a guy who has a lot of big things on his plate. He has two very sick relatives one of whom is his wife. He is planning to be the future King, who knows how long that could be. That must be at the forefront of his mind. He could be the King in the next few years and the idea that he's going to get bogged down by more psychodrama from his brother, from Montecito, from Meghan."
She continued: "I mean, he's just he's moved past all of that. He's actually past the angry stage. I'm hearing he just can't be bothered with those guys anymore."
This insight was followed by a source close to the Sussex couple who claimed Harry said: "I don't want to do this alone," when discussing his upcoming return to Britain on May 8, with Meghan.
They added: "He [Harry] would prefer it if the entire family made regular visits to see his family and build bridges. There is so much going on behind the scenes that it just isn't possible at the moment."

Although the wounds of Harry and Meghan's antics may be too much for the Prince of Wales to dress and ignore easily, others feel that his decision to "be the bigger man" would even please the memory of family members no longer here.
"I am sure the King himself would also agree that Diana, Princess of Wales, would be deeply heartbroken over what has become of their children's relationships with one another," a former Kensington Palace aide during Charles and Diana's time as Prince and Princess of Wales revealed.
