Lindsay Rose Rando is expanding her empire.
The entrepreneur found major success in New England with her Bobbles & Lace boutiques. Now, she's taking her lucrative brand across the country.
Rando speaks exclusively with OK! about the staying power of her stores, opening new locations all over America, her fashion buying strategy and what she's learned from her years in the business.
The Massive Success of Bobbles & Lace

Lindsay Rose Rando opened the first Bobbles & Lace store in April 2008 in Marblehead, Mass.
Since opening the first location in Marblehead, Mass., in 2008, the businesswoman has continued to grow her client base despite the obstacles of an ever-changing market.
"I think that a lot of businesses go into it without a clear intention," Rando says. "We set a clear intention in what it is that we're doing here, which is a styling studio. That's stayed true since day one. Yes, a lot of things change, but we evolve constantly. There's always a new POS system, new fashion, or new technology we can use. But one thing that has never changed is our core values and mission, which is to transform the way women shop."
Expanding Across the Country

Bobbles & Lace has stores in Florida, Colorado, Utah and more.
Rando's concept resonated with her customers, allowing her to open stores in Florida, Colorado, Georgia, Utah, Texas and more.
"When we first started with one store, it was not our intention to be a nationwide brand," she explains. "It was myself, my aunt, my family and friends. We are all so passionate about the concept of connecting with the women first and helping them to feel and look their best. That human interaction is the key to all of it."

Her Buying Strategy

Lindsay Rose Rando says when buying for each of the Bobbles & Lace locations, the clothes must go through the 'Lindsay lens.'
When managing multiple locations, the multi-hyphenate ensures that each store offers a distinct selection while remaining true to the brand's overall identity.
"When looking at other franchise models that are out there in women's fashion, some of them let their franchisees have a free-for-all to buy what they want," Rando points out. "Then others have zero freedom. I would never want to be an owner of a store and not have some buying freedom, but I still need to make sure it goes through kind of like the Lindsay lens. That's what Bobbles is."
What She's Learned From It All

Lindsay Rose Rando knows the 'learning never stops' when it comes to her business.
While Rando is at the top of her game, she knows there are always new heights for her brand.
"The learning never stops," she admits. "It might be a little bit of entrepreneurial illness where you're never satisfied. It's always, 'Okay, now what? How can I keep evolving this? How can I do better?' I'm never going to stop and say, 'Okay, this is good.' I'm going to say, 'This is great. What next?'"
