Puff sleeves started making a comeback a few years ago when the style was shown on the runways of Carolina Herrera, Christian Siriano, Gucci and Isabel Marant. Now, the charming, exaggerated detail has become a bonafide red carpet staple. 

From regal and structured to romantic and off-the-shoulder, voluminous sleeves add a dash of whimsy to any ensemble. The Rapunzel-approved style may be ultra feminine, and a bit storybook-sampled, but it can also look surprisingly modern when teamed with a sleeker silhouette. (Remember, it's all about proportions.)
