Margaret Qualley has officially taken Chanel’s most confusing shoes off the runway and into the discourse.
The actress, 31, wore the fashion house’s viral “barefoot” sandals to the London premiere of The Dog Stars on August 20, pairing the black straps-and-heel design with a fringed black dress.
The shoes, which leave most of the foot exposed, debuted in April as part of Matthieu Blazy’s first Chanel Cruise collection.
She paired the Chanel footwear with a fringed black dress.
Qualley, a longtime Chanel ambassador, may have been the first to brave them on a red carpet. The internet made sure she was not walking alone.

“In this moment I realised that we all have the Chanel barefoot sandals at home if you have medical face masks lying around,” she added.
