Meghan Markle Will 'Stir Controversy' by Revealing 'Previously Undisclosed Details' About Royals in Her Memoir
Meghan Markle's rumored life story is poised to make "millions," but it could also come with some risky consequences.
"Meghan’s memoirs could stir controversy and reignite debates surrounding her relationship with the royal family, especially if she chooses to reveal previously undisclosed details," entertainment journalist Mark Boardman dished.
"Any further revelations or 'bombshells' about her time as a royal could impact her career and reputation in various ways with an almost impossible task to make a further comeback," the reporter added. "Such a memoir however still has the potential to be a substantial money-spinner, both in terms of book sales and potential media deals."
He continued: "Meghan Markle has the potential to make a substantial amount of money from her memoirs, ranging from several million dollars for the advance alone to tens of millions or more when accounting for royalties, international rights, and related opportunities. Being a significant public profile like Meghan Markle can secure substantial advance payments from publishers," Boardman revealed.
As OK! previously reported, the Duchess of Sussex's autobiography is likely to be controversial, just as her husband, Prince Harry's, Spare, proved to be. The former actress is expected to explore everything from the reveal of the "royal racist" from the Oprah interview to her turbulent years trying to make it in ruthless Hollywood.
Even though it would undoubtedly be a bestseller and dominant headlines for days to weeks, the book could backfire on the Suits alum and further destroy her integrity and trustworthiness. However, the damage may already be done in that regard, which would make the tell-all nothing more than bitter icing on the cake for her critics.
"All the money in the world will not repair her damaged reputation," royal expert Nile Gardiner told an outlet. "Even spending tens of millions of dollars on a PR makeover won't succeed. The American and British people can now see right through that."
"Meghan's memoirs could well be a bestseller, but they would further damage her image and standing among the vast majority of Americans and Britons," the analyst continued. "A book like this won't make her more popular — it will further sink her image."

Due to the severe backlash that has followed the Duke of Sussex after his revelations about his family in his memoir, there is the potential that Meghan's story could tone down the salacious bits.
"Advances for high-profile memoirs can range from several million dollars to even tens of millions, depending on the bidding war among publishers, although any deal will have terms attached to it that will ensure maximum sales and minimize family infighting and potential lawsuits," Boardman concluded.
The New York Post reported on Boardman's remarks.
