Meghan Markle Realizes She and Prince Harry Went 'Too Far' With Their Brutal Attacks on the Royal Family

Are Meghan Markle and Prince Harry regretting their decisions? The Sussexes quickly utilized their family drama for fame once they left the royal family, as the couple participated in several tell-all projects, exposing their issues with the royal family — but did they say too much? Tom Bower thinks the Sussexes' decision to publicize their family drama harmed their developing brand in the long run.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's media tour began in 2021 when they participated in a televised interview with Oprah Winfrey, but the event became the beginning of their quest for vindication.

"They are beginning to taste the medicine that they handed out during the Oprah Winfrey interview. They’re finding it very, very hard to keep their brand reputable. They’re constantly having to defend themselves and they’re grasping for opportunities that don’t exist anymore," Bower said. "All she’s got is the baggage of the Oprah Winfrey interview and her damnation of the royal family in various successive interviews. That’s why she’s been so quiet the whole year."

"She knows they’ve probably gone too far and she doesn’t know how to get out of it now. What is fascinating is how it will end? What will the climax be?" he continued.

Meghan is rethinking some of her statements, but she will continue to chase her Hollywood dreams. The Royal Observer previously reported Meghan signed with A-list talent agency WME back in April, and while she works alongside Ari Emanuel to curate her public image, the former actress is expected to slowly distance her brand from her husband, Prince Harry.

Meghan used her duchess title to promote her personal passions, but fans can now expect to see her ignore her proximity to the crown, as she could return to her roots as a blogger. Although Spotify pulled the plug on her podcast, "Archetypes," the New York Post claimed the children's book author applied for a trademark for her defunct lifestyle site The Tig.

"Meghan feels she’ll have better success if she takes the time to work on projects alone without Harry – even though he always gives her his full support," a source told a publication.
