Michael Che Responds After Kanye West Offers To Double His 'SNL' Salary If He Stops Working With Pete Davidson
Michael Che is standing by Saturday Night Live costar Pete Davidson after Kanye West tried to come between them.
On Sunday, February 13, the rapper — who legally changed his name to Ye — lashed out, to say the least, at The King of Staten Island alum. He offered to double Che's salary if he stopped working with Davidson "just so you don’t have to look at that pawn ever again big love," Ye wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post, Complex reported.
The 38-year-old responded to the "All Of The Lights" hitmaker with a handwritten note via Instagram.
"Sorry Ye, but I would never betray my friends," Che began, before joking: "For anything less than TRIPLE salary."
"That’s right, $90k per year!" the comedian continued. "Full medical. Full dental. Four weeks vacay. Corner office. Plus, a pair of Red Octobers. Size 12. And you gotta make some beats for my band, The Slap Butts."

"And you gotta tell me what you’re gonna wear to work the night before so we can look like twins," he concluded. "You do that for me, and I’ll Rambo that whole building."
As reported by OK!, the 44-year-old artist accused Davidson over the weekend of dating Hillary Clinton in the past. He also shared a screenshot of a message that appeared to be from Davidson, where he told the father-of-four he would love to meet his children, but he does not have any intention of interfering with his relationship with them. Ye declared Davidson would never meet his kids
Ye shares children North, 8, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2 with his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian.
During his social media rant, the "Flashing Lights" singer also revealed he dropped Kid Cudi from his upcoming album, Donda 2, due to his friendship with the Big Time Adolescence alum. The "Mr. Rager" singer seemed unbothered by the move, as he responded by calling Ye a "f**king dinosaur," adding: "Everyone knows I've been the best thing about your albums since I met you."
The reality star filed for divorce from Ye in February 2021. She filed to be declared legally single in December, only two months after she was first linked to Davidson following her hosting stint on SNL. Meanwhile, Ye has been dating Uncut Gems alum Julia Fox, whom he's in an open relationship with.
