Supermodel, businesswoman, and now mama! Naomi Campbell welcomed a baby girl, she revealed in a surprise Instagram post on Tuesday, May 18.
“A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother, So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love,” the supermodel penned in a sweet message to her newborn daughter.
An outpouring of love swarmed the 50-year-old’s post. Jodie Smith was overjoyed by her friend's new little one. The Queen & Slim actress wrote, “Many many many congratulations to you and to your family — the village that will now rally around you and support you in cultivating that little angel!!!! what an incredible blessing!!! 💞💞💞.”
Singer Rita Ora commented, “No one deserves this more ❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
Fellow model Adut Akech Bior showed much excitement for the new mama, writing, "OMG CONGRATULATIONS MAMA!!! I’m so happy for you!!!😍❤️❤️❤️❤️🎉.” Actress and singer Ryan Destiny, who played Campbell's daughter on FOX’s Star, commented, “Omg!! Congrats mama! Love you🥳♥️♥️”
Although the arrival of Campbell’s daughter might come as a surprise, the businesswoman has not been shy about wanting to start a family of her own.
“I’d love to have kids. I don’t discount anything in life. I love kids and always will,” she confided to Vogue Arabia in 2017. “When I’m around children, I become a child myself. That’s the little girl I don’t ever want to lose.”
The British beauty told the Evening Standard that same year, "I think about having children all the time…but now with the way science is I think I can do it when I want.”
Campbell also mentioned, “I do want a father figure. I think it’s important."
Currently, the new mama is not in a relationship but has made headlines in the past when she was tied to Italian businessman Flavio Briatore from 1998-2003 and CEO of Aman Resorts Vladislav Doronin from 2008-2013.
Her mother, Valerie Morris-Campbell, who seems to be the happiest of all, is overjoyed. She praised her daughter on Instagram and joyfully wrote, "Congratulations to my daughter Naomi on the birth of her daughter, I'm beyond thrilled as I've waited a longtime to be grandmother."
