Patrick Schwarzenegger Is 'Completely Supportive' After His Parents' Divorce Is Finalized, The Actor Is 'Happy That His Parents Have A Sense Of Closure,' Source Spills
Patrick Schwarzenegger is supporting his parents following their long road to divorce.
As previously reported by OK!, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver's divorce was finalized a decade after the pair split. The coparents parted ways after Maria learned that her husband had fathered, Joseph Baena, with their former housekeeper, Mildred.
"Patrick is completely supportive of both his parents and since Maria and Arnold broke up so many years ago, nothing is really different now than it was then," an insider told HollywoodLife.
"He’s happy that his parents have a sense of closure in this whole thing but as far as their day to day lives, they’re already super close and none of that will ever change," the source continued. "Patrick knows his parents have a great relationship with each other and he’s happy for them that that chapter can close."
Another insider told the publication that Patrick and his family "are very transparent with each other" and always knew what the outcome would be.

"Patrick loves his parents and is in both of their lives and just because they are now divorced doesn’t change the relationship he has with them," a source explained. "He continues to get love from his parents and that will forever be the case. The sadness of it all was years ago."
Another insider told HollywoodLife that the former flames had "moved on so long ago" that making the separation official did not provide any "specific relief."
"They have been working with a private judge on all of it. Their family knows what has been going on and that part of their lives is over," the source shared. "They still respect each other, but now they will continue to have their own lives and that’s pretty much it."
The duo tied the knot in 1989, and share children, Patrick, Katherine, Christopher and Christina.
According to TMZ, the divorce was mediated by a private judge and signed off earlier this month. It was entered into the court system this week.
