Pregnant Jennifer Lawrence Goes To Abortion Rally With Comedian Amy Schumer To Protest Controversial Texas Ban
A pregnant Jennifer Lawrence and comedian pal Amy Schumer were spotted at the Washington D.C. "Rally for Abortion Justice" on Saturday.
The Silver Linings Playbook star was glowing with her baby bump on display in an adorable black and white checkered dress, denim jacket, and a pair of pink lensed sunglasses.
The duo held up signs voicing their support for women's rights in light of the controversial Texas abortion ban that made abortion illegal once the fetal heartbeat could be detected (which is usually around 6 weeks).
As OK! previously reported, the law was only able to put into effect because of a loophole that states officials are not to enforce the new ruling, rather it will be enforced by citizens who are now given the right to sue anyone who performs an abortion, as well as anyone who helps a patient to get an abortion.
The Inside Amy Schumer creator — who is a mother of one to 2-year-old Gene David, whom she shares with hubby Chris Fischer — held up a sign that read “Abortion Is Essential” while Lawrence brandished her own that said, “Women can’t be free if they don’t control their bodies.”

The Trainwreck actress took to social media to post a few pics of the duo at the rally. “I don’t have a uterus and she is pregnant but we out here,” she wrote.
Schumer recently shared that she had both her appendix and her uterus removed due to her struggles with endometriosis. “So, it’s the morning after my surgery for endometriosis and my uterus is out,” she updated fans in a video. “The doctor found 30 spots of endometriosis that he removed. He removed my appendix because the endometriosis had attacked it.”
This comes only weeks after Lawrence announced she was pregnant with her and husband Cooke Maroney's first child. The couple first met in 2018, and tied the knot the next year at the Belcourt of Newport mansion in Rhode Island.
