Prince Harry apparently cannot separate himself from his father, King Charles III's kingdom in the run-up to his return to Britain on May 8 to celebrate the Invictus Games.

"I think it's extremely likely that Harry does want to carry out royal duties," royal expert Richard Eden shared.

Royal and Sussex insiders claim that Meghan, Duchess of Sussex and Kate, Princess of Wales, have not spoken to one another since September 2022.

"We had the suggestion that he might want to do some to help out while the King and Catherine stepped back, but there's been no sign of that's gonna happen," he added. "It's definitely something he wants to come back, but do we want it?" “We certainly haven't heard many reports that Meghan's very keen to come back to Britain."

Eden continued: "So the whole thing is sort of in limbo, but the suggestions there that he wants to come back to Britain more, and I think we will be seeing more of him one way or another."

But the tensions between the Duke and his family may be too severe to allow that to happen.

"It is a very important anniversary because the service of Thanksgiving is being held, to celebrate 10 years of the Invictus Games and this of course was a remarkable thing that Harry founded," royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams shared with an outlet.

"One of the problems is that it will be overshadowed by whether Meghan will be there, I would think not. And then again as to whether or not he will see his father will King Charles play a role in peacemaking?" he added.

It is speculated but not confirmed that Meghan Markle, along with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet Diana, could join Harry when he travels to London. It would be the Duchess of Sussex's first trip to Britain since Queen Elizabeth II's state funeral in September 2022. It would be the Sussex kids' first trip back since the late monarch's Platinum Jubilee celebrations a few months earlier.

"I simply cannot understand why he wants to come back here after all his treacherous lies with Meghan Markle," a former palace aide spilled. "One thing is for certain: it won't be a happy homecoming, and if he brings the actress, they can expect more hisses boos, which I heard infuriated her last time."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were infamously booed by crowds outside St Paul's Cathedral after a Service of Thanksgiving for Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee on June 3, 2022. The duo returned to the U.K a few months later for the late monarch's funeral.

Fitzwilliams concluded: "The facts are, however, that we simply don't know what's going to happen. But it is possible that since King Charles has never closed the door, since they're both his sons, and since two senior members of the royal family are seriously ill, this presents an entirely new scenario. A new bridge."
