Although "very sad," friends of Prince Harry claim the Duke will not be able to fly into Britain for the funeral of his uncle Lord Robert Fellowes.

"It's just all very sad," a friend of Harry's from years ago shared. "The idea that he wouldn’t be there to support Jane in her grief would have been unimaginable a few years ago."

This follows previous reports speculating whether the fifth in line to the throne would appear. "In normal times, it would be unimaginable that Harry would not be there to support Jane," Harry's pal said. "Of course, he would want to be there. It will be a huge gathering of the Spencer clan. But these are not normal times, and it may well be that everyone feels Harry’s attendance would just create too much drama. It will be very sad for him if he can’t make it."

Lady Jane Fellows is the Duke of Sussex's aunt, and one of the late Diana, Princess of Wales' sisters. Lord Fellowes was her longtime spouse and a former private secretary to the late Queen Elizabeth II before passing away on July 29. The ex-courtier earned notoriety for reportedly "clashing" with his "iconic" sister-in-law during her troubles with then-Prince Charles in the 1990s.

Harry's previous demand for a drama-less gathering came as King Charles III seemed to have "finally" joined the other senior royals in pretending that Prince Harry did not exist.

"Prince Harry’s relationship with his father has deteriorated to a new low level," a source spilled.

Memories of his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, and current, reported clashes with his uncle Charles Spencer, could be informing Prince Harry's decision to skip a U.K. visit.

Although Harry is bogged down in a bitter feud with nearly all of his family, it is suggested the only senior royal he (at one time recently) communicated with was Charles III. The monarch even decided to meet with his youngest son back in February, one day after his cancer diagnosis was made public. Some reports suggest the pair only met for 12 minutes, and the King declined to see his rebel son again when the Duke visited Britain on May 8 for an Invictus Games event.

Prince Harry is said to be "adamant" in his determination to get in touch with his father, as he reportedly feels that both he and his family could be in danger. Security threats have been a recent fear both the Duke and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex have hinted at.

"Harry is frightened and feels the only person who can do anything about it is his father," a Sussex source spilled to an outlet.

Another source came forward and stated: "Harry is determined to protect his own family at all costs."
