Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are estranged from the royal family, but apparently still feel like they should be "prioritized" when it comes to royal news. This insight comes after the Duke of Sussex was reportedly only told about Princess Kate's cancer condition one day before the revelation went public. The other senior working monarchy members had known about the diagnosis "for weeks."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released a statement about Princess Kate's cancer diagnosis shortly after HRH revealed her condition.

"Harry was told about Kate's cancer the day before Kate's video was released, and they are definitely being kept up-to-date with Kate's condition — apart from anything else, ignoring the couple completely would only lead to public attacks from Harry and Meghan and how they are being kept out of the loop and treated badly as usual," royal author Tom Quinn explained to an outlet.

"They already feel annoyed and frustrated that they are no longer prioritized when it comes to this sort of thing — it just reinforces their sense of victimhood, and that, rather than leaving the royal family, they were pushed out," he added when highlighting how Team Sussex processes royal actions. "They are being told things in advance, but only the major things."

Quinn continued: "The details will always be kept from them, simply because they are no longer part of the inner circle — let's not forget they brought this on themselves when they decided to leave Britain and cease to be working royals."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex essentially learned of the future queen's shocking cancer struggle with the rest of the world. This is even though it has been reported the princess found out back when Prince William canceled a funeral engagement last minute in late February.

"In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous," Her Royal Highness shared in a video statement on March 22. "The surgery was successful," she added.

"However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present," she continued. "My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment. This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family."
