Prince Harry is set to visit the U.K. in May, and he reportedly still wants an apology from his estranged brother, Prince William, even amid Princess Kate's recently announced cancer battle.

Royal author Tom Quinn pointed out the "years of tension" between the Sussex and Wales families as a reason behind the feud still having no end in sight even with devastating news.

The Duke of Sussex has reportedly not spoken to the Prince and Princess of Wales since September 2022.

This insight comes amid reports suggesting the California Duke could potentially "reach out" to William and Catherine during his trip.

"Given Kate's cancer diagnosis, Harry will certainly make efforts to see his brother and Kate when he returns to the U.K. in May — if it happens at all, it's to be a very brief, carefully choreographed meeting and organized to last a short time so that the brothers can avoid any difficult conversations," Quinn added.

He continued: "At the same time, Harry knows how it will look if he comes back to the U.K. and doesn't see his brother and Kate. It's going to be a very awkward time."

This meeting would come after Harry's "blink, and you'll miss it" meeting with King Charles III on February 6, following the monarch's cancer disclosure.

It has long been speculated that the "Fab Four", as they were nicknamed in 2018, actually despise one another. Shortly before her wedding to Harry in May of that year, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex-to-be, had a spat with Kate, the then-Duchess of Cambridge, about Prince Charlotte's bridesmaid dress.

"That rift about the dress started a feud that has never been resolved," another royal insider claimed.

Royal analyst Pandora Forsyth further added how the Prince and Princess of Wales are likely becoming "frustrated" by the monarchy's unwritten motto of: "never complain, never explain," which was perfected by the late Queen Elizabeth II. By convention, British royals under no circumstances talk about personal matters or respond to incendiary claims or allegations against them personally. This is meant to suggest that they are "above" squabbles or drama, but this may be a bit much for William and Kate to keep abiding by.

"Every time they turn around, Harry and Meghan have planted some new allegation against them or petty story," a palace insider spilled when discussing the future king and queen. "It is hard for them not to be able to defend themselves, but silence is always the best response."

A "reunion" of the "Fab Four" is probably nothing but a fantasy in Forsyth's opinion. "After everything that Harry and Meghan have released about the royal family, whilst William and Catherine have been representing the royal family and actually haven't been able to say a lot about it by choice, but also because of the fact they still work for the royal family," she concluded.
