With the preparations for Prince Philip's funeral underway, crowds of people have gathered on The Long Walk to watch the rehearsal at Windsor Castle on Thursday, April 15 — two days before the royal's funeral will take place.
On Friday, April 9, Buckingham Palace confirmed that the 99-year-old Duke of Edinburgh passed away in the morning at his and Queen Elizabeth II's home, Windsor Castle.
The heartbreaking news came after he was admitted to King Edward VII’s Hospital on February 16 as a "precautionary measure." Almost one month later, Philip left the hospital after undergoing a heart procedure.

Philip's death came two months before his 100th birthday on June 10.
Prince Harry returned back over the pond, for the first time in over a year, to attend the occasion alongside Her Majesty, Prince William, Kate Middleton and Prince Charles.
