It’s full speed ahead for Renée Zellweger and Ant Anstead!
The hot new duo have fallen hard for each other since meeting on the set of Anstead's upcoming Discovery+ show, Celebrity IOU: Joyride. The Oscar-winning actress was filming a guest episode, “and it didn’t take long for them to realize there were sparks,” an insider tells OK!.
“They were flirting and acting giddy, and hanging out when they didn’t have to. Renée was obviously taken with Ant and giving him her undivided attention.”
Zellweger, 52, who was engaged to Jim Carrey in the late ’90s and had a four-month marriage to country star Kenny Chesney in 2005, has been single since her split from musician Doyle Bramhall II in 2019.
“She wasn’t looking for love, but Ant made an immediate impression on her. Renée was thrilled to find out he was also single,” spills the insider, noting that the automotive expert, 42, had recently split from his wife, Flip or Flop’s Christina Haack.
“They met for some low-key dates while Ant was finalizing the divorce to really get to know one another,” the insider continues. “They’ve both had disappointments in their lives with other people, but feel lucky they’ve found each other.”
Now, they’re not wasting any time. According to the insider, Anstead's been shacking up at Zellweger's secluded L.A. home when his ex has custody of their 22-month-old son, Hudson.
“Ant’s sweeping Renée off her feet,” dishes the insider. “She’ll find sweet notes from him, and they make her feel so appreciated.”
The lovebirds have been enjoying easygoing activities, like early morning hikes and cooking dinner together at home.
“They’re living the good life,” gushes the insider. “They’re not putting pressure on themselves, but they’re excited to see where the relationship goes.”
