Alicia Carmody and Jo-Ellen Tiberi have officially joined The Real Housewives sisterhood.
The Real Housewives of Rhode Island stars shot to fame following the massive success of the East Coast franchise’s first season. However, their reality TV chops were put to the test while filming The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip alongside veteran Housewives who came before them.
Carmody and Tiberi chat exclusively with OK! about their appearance in the Bravo spinoff, the public reaction to their show's debut, balancing family life while being on television, their biggest "pinch-me" moment so far and their partnership with Angel Soft.
Making a Cameo on 'The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip'

Alicia Carmody and Jo-Ellen Tiberi will make an appearance on 'The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip' this season.
While Carmody and Tiberi are newbies to Bravo, they got to spend time with longtime alums while making a cameo on the fifth season of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
"I personally had a really good time while I was there," Tiberi says. "Porsha [Williams] gave me her number. So many people were so kind and caring. They went out of their way to be welcoming. That is so appreciated. I'm like, 'Do you hang out with these people?' I asked them real questions. Who else can I ask? No one else is going to know this besides somebody that's been through it. It was so much fun. Everyone was gorgeous. Obviously, I had never met any of them before, but they were so down to earth and real. It was super special. I was on my best behavior."
Carmody adds, "I was so in awe of everyone. You felt the energy from all the women showing their lives. They were celebrating, and the fact that we got to be part of it felt so magical. I also was on my best behavior, too. I tried to, at least, but it was a really special moment for these women. The fact that they included us ... I was so appreciative. But this is what they did over the past 20 years, so to welcome us with open arms was huge. It's insane. I'm super proud of them and to be a part of the franchise."
The Massive Success of 'The Real Housewives of Rhode Island'

Alicia Carmody and Jo-Ellen Tiberi think the reaction to 'RHORI' has been 'very special.'
After debuting this spring, the New England franchise has quickly become a fan favorite, even hooking celebrity fans like Michelle Obama.
"It's an amazing feeling to meet fans and talk to them," Tiberi notes. "They're getting an insight into your world and your life, but I'm still me. I'm a normal person. So, it's definitely different when I see it through somebody else's eyes. It's been very special. I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity."
"Sometimes I'm like, 'Are you sure you have the right person?'" Carmody says with a laugh. "When they're like, 'Oh my God!' I don't think it'll ever hit me that this happened. I'm so grateful."

Alicia Carmody and Jo-Ellen Tiberi agree that adjusting to their newfound 'RHORI' fame has been 'hard.'
While Carmody and Tiberi are enjoying their newfound fame, they’ve also taken on new opportunities while balancing their marriages and family lives.
"I think it's been really hard. I'm not going to lie," Carmody admits. "I talk to myself a lot to get through the day. I'm like, 'You can do this. You're not tired. Get out of bed!' I'm trying to blast music. I am trying to read words of affirmation because it [the fame] happened overnight. Then you have friends that help you and everything like that. My team's been really great too. But the busier you get, you're going to have to ask for help, or you just drown."
"It's definitely hard," Tiberi agrees. "My career was something that had to take a backseat. But it will never be my kids. They are the most important thing. As long as you have your priorities in order, everything else will eventually fall in line, but it's been difficult. That's been one of my biggest challenges."
Biggest 'Pinch Me' Moment Since the Show Launched

Alicia Carmody and Jo-Ellen Tiberi say that their biggest 'pinch-me' moment is seeing how much people love 'RHORI.'
Despite the challenges, Carmody and Tiberi cannot believe the public's response.
"That people really love the show," Carmody says when asked about the biggest "pinch me" moment so far. "It's all for just one season. I feel like the response, how people laugh with us, it's amazing. People write to me about crackers and peppermint oil and people who have anxiety about driving. I feel seen when other people get seen. When people tell me stories, I'm like, 'It's not only me!' It makes me feel better."
"There's been so many different things, but meeting Andy Cohen was a big 'pinch-me' moment," Tiberi notes of the Bravo boss.
Their Partnership With Angel Soft

Jo-Ellen Tiberi and Alicia Carmody are partnering with Angel Soft.
Now, Carmody and Tiberi have partnered with Angel Soft to celebrate their softness and strength campaign.
"It's the perfect match for Jo-Ellen and me because we're both super softies, but we also know how to stand tall," Carmody explains. "But it's the opposite with us. I appear more soft, but I can also be tough. She appears tough, but she can be soft."
"This partnership makes sense completely when they were chatting with us about being soft and strong," Tiberi shares. "We had so much fun."
