A Royal ‘Bombsite’: Meghan Markle ‘Couldn’t Be Clearer’ in Her Wish to Avoid Royal Family Devastation She Helped Cause
Meghan Markle is fed up with the United Kingdom!
"She is never going to set foot in the grey, cake-filled, miserable UK again if she can possibly help it," royal expert Jan Moir wrote.
"When it comes to relations between the royal family and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, we're looking at a burnt-out bombsite where a family used to be," Jan added. "Relations are at rock bottom; clemency is in the deep freeze. The outstretched hand has been withdrawn, and the peace pipe has been doused with a thousand duchessy tears. It is over."
As OK! previously reported, the British monarchy followed the Hollywood "freeze out" that saw the royal rebels on the outs with Tinseltown elites. There was some speculation that Prince William and Kate, Princess of Wales, may have been behind the icing out since the future king is the president of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA).
With Harry and Meghan set to attend the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf starting on September 9, it was only natural that speculation would arise on whether the pair would stop by Harry's home country.
New reports show that Duke making a pit stop in Britain on September 7 to attend the WellChildAwards, where it is rumored there may be a Balmoral "peace talks" summit with the prince and his father, King Charles III.
Some commentators doubt this will occur since the day after Harry's arrival is Accession Day, which marks both the monarch's coming to the throne and the one-year anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's death. Charles III plans to spend this occasion in private, secluded in the Scottish Highlands, which is where Elizabeth II passed away in the late summer of 2022.

This has been the custom of monarchs since the era of Queen Elizabeth I in the 16th century, and the King does not plan to break with this tradition.
The Duchess of Sussex has not been in the U.K., nor has she publicly attended any royal gathering, since the late Queen's state funeral on September 19, 2022. Some analysts are finally acknowledging that the former actress is completely done with both Britain and the royal family as she carves out her solo career in California.
