The New York Young Republican Club wrote while reposting a brief clip of her speech, "Kathy Hochul is being her typical self: bowing to the third world at the Islamic Cultural Center of NYC."

"NYYRC can exclusively reveal which third-world country: the mosque she is speaking at was almost entirely funded by Kuwait. Foreign countries are meddling in our affairs and our governor is happy to let them," the statement continued.

Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) continued the condemnation, saying that "sexist" liberals like her complain that President Donald Trump is “turning America into the Handmaid’s Tale.”

Spencer Pratt and many other MAGA allies slammed Kathy Hochul as nothing more than a hypocrite after her latest stint.

Meanwhile, Newsmax host Rob Schmitt posted on X: “Yes, hide your hair. Subjugate yourself to Islam and men. It’s your job as a woman to make sure men don’t see any sexuality in you. Good job, Governor Kathy Hochul.”

Fox News host Riley Gaines also called out the “irony” in Hochul being a “self-described feminist voluntarily wearing a hijab to not offend/arouse Muslim men.”

Some others said it was a terrible look for Hochul to wear the hijab a mere two weeks before the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks.

One user even suggested that Hochul should be banned from attending the anniversary.

Kathy Hochul previously said the label 'modern feminist' fit her 'very much so.'

In 2023, Hochul was asked if the label "modern feminist" fit her while talking to WBFO.

She said, "Oh, very much so. I know what it's like to struggle. I know what it's like to not have, you know, easy time of it because of being a woman no doubt about it."

Kathy Hochul shared her perspective of what a 'feminist' really is.

"To me a feminist means that you're keenly aware of the challenges that women face, and you try to improve their lot and try to make it easier for them," she continued.

Hochul also added, "I believe that a feminist simply is a voice for women who are not getting the rights that should be inherent in being a citizen of this country, and a lot of them are denied. So that's something I'm focusing on intensely, in my role now, but also as a leader of the state of New York."
