These actresses are in horrifyingly good shape! From green juices, to gym sessions and private trainers — stars like Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Sarah Michelle Gellar and more share their top fitness tips!
Jamie Lee Curtis
At 62, the Halloween star has perfected her fitness formula with a 10-step plan. High on the agenda: eating lots of raw veggies, fruits and protein and avoiding fatty, fried foods and too many carbs. Water is another big component of her healthy diet. “Fluids are key,” said the actress, who also exercises regularly. She alternates between yoga and Pilates but revealed a simple stroll is one of her favorite ways to stay in shape. “I walk with girlfriends,” she’s said. “[It’s] incredibly good for you.”
Chloë Grace Moretz
Exercise has become a major stress reliever for the scary movie alum (she got her start in The Amityville Horror and later appeared in Carrie, among others). Pre-pandemic, Moretz, 24, was working with trainer Jason Walsh five days a week doing primal movements like bear crawls, then taking restorative yoga classes on weekends. She’s now on a less intense schedule — but makes sure to at least stretch if she can’t swing a full sweat session. Noted the actress: “[Working out] keeps me grounded and strong.”

For Joy — who became a vegetarian at age 8 and has said she eats vegan whenever she can — being fit is a prerequisite for the parts she takes on (the 25-year-old Split star has two new thrillers on the horizon). “You have to be strong to do this job,” she explained, adding that she’s been revisiting her ballet background and doing Pilates. “I’m getting back into dancing properly, and also kickboxing,” she shared. “If you’re not taking care of yourself, you are not going to make it.”
Sarah Michelle Gellar
After her morning coffee, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum whips up her favorite green juice (she uses fresh kale, spinach, celery and lettuces) then hits the gym. “I love Platefit,” said Gellar of the 27-minute, high-intensity interval training workouts done on individual Power Plates. “I love how quickly I can work out and get such great exercise.” The Grudge actress, 44, has said she’s also a fan of Pilates and outdoor activities. “So swimming, hiking— anything like that is great as well.”
Emma Roberts
The TV Scream Queen and American Horror Story actress is big on balance. She alternates between yoga, Pilates and cardio with her trainer and eats healthily, but doesn’t stress out if she overindulges. While lunch is usually a chopped salad with avocado, chicken and tomatoes, and dinner is teriyaki salmon with brown rice and broccoli, Roberts, 30, has said she does “what feels good for me at the time.” Case in point: “Sometimes I bring sweets for everyone at work as an excuse to eat them!”
