With more than 140 episodes and a reported 1.5 billion views, the digital talk showhas established itself as a global digital media platform.

Launched with the late Bob Saget, The Simonetta Lein Show was the first digital celebrity interview show, pioneering a format that brought authentic celebrity conversations directly to audiences through social media before the genre became widespread.

Under the production of Ausonia Partners LLC and the creation of SLTV, the series further developed its distinctive approach to meaningful digital conversations. With Season 7 currently airing and Season 8 now in pre-production, the show continues to expand its international audience and digital footprint.

Celebrity interviews can often feel predictable, moving from a guest’s latest project to a handful of familiar anecdotes. The Simonetta Lein Show (SLTV) takes a different approach, focusing on meaningful storytelling, resilience, personal growth, philanthropy, and the human experiences behind success. The show deliberately stays away from gossip and political controversy, instead creating a space where guests can discuss their careers, challenges, defining experiences, and the legacies they hope to leave behind.

Hosted by global Instagram star Simonetta Lein, the show has built a massive U.S. and international audience, with more than 28 million followers. @simonettalein is currently ranked by HypeAuditor #7 globally, #6 in the United States, #1 in Australia, #2 in Germany and Colombia, and #5 in Italy and the UK, with her digital footprint surpassing that of many A-list celebrities and underscoring the reach and influence of both the platform and its host.

Lein, recipient of the WIBA Media Personality in association with Forbes Monaco and recognized amongForbes’ Top 5 rankings, has brought the SLTV platform and its message to some of entertainment’s biggest red carpets, including the Primetime Emmys 2025, where she represented the only digital talk show among the invitees, as well as the 2026 Grammys, where she wore a gown displaying “Built This Without Permission,” and the 2026 Oscars, where she carried the message “One Humanity.” These appearances have extended the show’s focus on empowerment, purpose, and meaningful storytelling beyond the screen and onto some of the industry’s most visible stages.

With Season 7 currently airing and Season 8 now in pre-production, we spoke with Lein about the show’s development, its distinctive interview format, and what may come next.

How did the idea for The Simonetta Lein Show begin?

Simonetta Lein: I wanted to create a platform that placed authentic storytelling at the center of the celebrity interview. The entertainment industry was changing rapidly, and digital media offered an opportunity to build something independent, international, and accessible to audiences wherever they were watching.

The show has reportedly surpassed 1.5 billion views. Why do you think it has reached such a large audience?

SL: I believe audiences respond to conversations that feel genuine. The show features internationally recognized guests, but it also looks beyond their public personas. We discuss rejection, resilience, how to make this world a better place, career-defining decisions, and the experiences that have shaped them. Those themes can resonate with people regardless of where they live.

More than 140 episodes have featured guests such as Howie Mandel, Mark Cuban, Ice-T, Carla Bruni, Jameela Jamil, Danny Trejo, Shaggy, Daryl Hall, and Loni Love. What do you look for in a guest?

SL: The guests come from different areas of entertainment, business, music, fashion, and culture, but they all have meaningful stories to share. I’m interested in what has shaped a person, what they have learned, and what they want their work and life to represent.

How do you encourage guests to move beyond the standard promotional interview?

SL: Creating trust is very important. I want guests to feel that they have the time and space to speak honestly rather than simply promote their latest project. When an interview feels like a conversation between two people, it becomes easier to explore the moments behind someone’s success.

The show features both the Legacy Interview and the 30-second SLTV Lightning Round. Why was it important to include these contrasting formats?

SL: They reveal different sides of a guest. The Legacy Interview creates room for reflection and allows people to discuss how they would like to be remembered. The Lightning Round is a faster, vertical, and more spontaneous format, giving viewers a glimpse of the guest’s personality. Together, the segments bring both depth and energy to an episode.

How has the show adapted to the way audiences now consume entertainment?

SL: SLTV was created as a fully digital platform, so the format naturally reflects how people watch and share content today. Some viewers want a meaningful conversation, while others may first discover the show through a brief, memorable moment on social media. Both forms can introduce audiences to a guest’s wider story.

Your work also extends beyond entertainment through The Wishwall Foundation. Does that influence the show?

SL: Yes. Inclusion, representation, and positive social impact are important to me. Through both the foundation and the show, I want to spotlight diverse voices and use storytelling to encourage empowerment. Entertainment can be engaging while still carrying a sense of purpose.

The series currently holds a 9.7/10 IMDb user rating, while your social platforms have attracted more than 28 million followers. What does that response mean to you?

SL: It is encouraging to see people from different countries connecting with the show. Its growth reflects the work of everyone involved, as well as the willingness of our guests to share their stories. Reaching an international audience was always important, so seeing that audience continue to expand is very meaningful.

The international rankings are particularly meaningful because they show that the audience is not concentrated in one market. What can viewers expect from Season 8?

SL: While I am still focused on Season 7's final episodes, we want to continue expanding the show through powerful network amplifications, live events, and international partnerships while preserving the authenticity that defines it. Season 8 represents another opportunity to introduce compelling guests and conversations to an even broader audience.

A Talk Show Built for Digital Audiences

After seven seasons, SLTV has established a format that combines the familiarity of the celebrity interview with the reach and pace of digital media. Its high-profile guest list may draw viewers in, but its emphasis on personal experiences gives the conversations their substance.

As the show prepares for Season 8, its challenge will be to continue evolving without losing the direct, personal quality that has helped distinguish it. If its reported audience figures are any indication, viewers around the world will be watching to see where the conversation goes next.
