A new mom who had just returned from maternity leave became the victim of a deadly attack on Times Square.
As reported by the New York Times, the victim who was fatally stabbed by a maniac has been identified as University of Pennsylvania graduate Erin Piacenti, 32, of Chester, New Jersey.

An Ivy League banker, she had just joyously celebrated her baby’s baptism and returned to work after her maternity leave, posting a touching photo of herself smiling broadly as she held her infant and stood with her husband, only four days before her murder.
In the post, Piacenti said that she was grateful for the five months she was able to take off to care for her new daughter. As per the outlet, she and her husband had been traveling around, including to Long Beach, NJ, Maine, and Rhode Island, and had just celebrated their second wedding anniversary together.
Erin Piacenti Was Stabbed at the Times Square
Erin Piacenti was stabbed in the abdomen by Pamela Cisneros, a 49-year-old mentally disturbed mom of three.
On Monday afternoon, the banking executive was going through Times Square, heading home from work, when she stopped briefly in front of a vendor selling sunglasses and baseball hats on the street.
That's when she was approached by Pamela Cisneros, a 49-year-old mentally disturbed mom of three, who stabbed her in the abdomen during a random attack in the heart of Manhattan’s theater district. Piacenti was then taken to Bellevue Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
According to the reports, Cisneros also stabbed and wounded another passerby before cops shot her dead. The other victim, a 68-year-old Rhode Island man named Tak Kam, who was in the city visiting his son, was expected to recover.

Piacenti's Co-Workers Extended Their Condolences to Her
Erin Piacenti's stabber, Pamela Cisneros, was shot dead by the police in the encounter.
Bank of America said in a statement to Piacenti, per the New York Times, "We are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our colleague."
"She was a valued teammate who will be greatly missed. Our hearts go out to her family and all of her loved ones," the statement continued.
Erin Piacenti was married to Frank and had welcomed a baby just a few months before her tragic murder.
Piacenti attended Villa Walsh Academy, a private girls’ Catholic school, in Morristown, New Jersey, before going on to a prestigious college and post-grad career. She was a Fordham Law School graduate who ended up working for Bank of America.
Fordham Law in Manhattan added in a statement, “We are heartbroken to learn of the tragic and senseless loss of our alumna, Erin (Guiltinan) Piacenti. Erin and her husband, Frank, graduated in 2021 and have been cherished members of the Fordham Law family.”
“During this devastating time, our thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathies are with Frank, their families, and all who knew and loved Erin,” the statement continued.
