'Vanderpump Rules' Stars James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss End Engagement After 5 Years Together: 'We Aren’t In Love Anymore'
Vanderpump Rules cast members James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss have announced that they are going their separate ways after five years together.
The former couple — who got engaged in May — announced the news in a joint statement shared to each of their Instagram accounts on Sunday, December 5.
According to People Magazine, the former couple called off their engagement during filming of the season 9 reunion in Los Angeles on Friday.
"After these 5 wonderful years we had together, we decided we have two different goals and made the decision to call off the engagement," the announcement from the Bravo stars read.
"We love each other very much, but we aren’t in love anymore," the former duo explained to their followers. "We want nothing but the best for each other so please keep any thoughts positive. Sending Love."
Kennedy, 29, and Leviss', 27, relationship has been a major focus on the current season of the hit reality show. Cameras rolled for the DJ's romantic proposal — where he got down on one knee with a ring worth an estimated $100,000.
"James proposed at the iconic Empire Polo Fields of 'RACHELLA' Friday night... and I said YES! I’m over the Coachella moon," the former pageant contestant wrote on Instagram showing off the rock following Kennedy asking the big question.
Kennedy then wrote in his own post on Instagram of the sweet moment dedicated to Leviss, "THE LOVE OF MY LIFE, said yes." The reality star then replied to one fan in the comment section writing, "I’m one lucky guy. Thank you God!"
During their time together, Kennedy and Leviss faced their fair share of obstacles including the "Feeling You" musician's battle with addiction.
"Thank you to my rock @raquelleviss for getting me here I couldn't of [sic] done this without you my love. And thank you all for the support this past year," Kennedy wrote to the model in a July 2020 Instagram post.
