14 Teen Pregnancies That Happened On Scripted TV Shows

Remember when 'Glee' was decent in season 1? Quinn got knocked up by Puck during their sophomore year at McKinley and the first season ended with her giving birth to their daughter, Beth, during Regionals. Shelby, Rachel Berry's birth mom, adopted Beth and now sometimes Puck gets to babysit. Weird.

Even though 'OTH's Haley was technically married to Nathan when she got knocked up, they were still in high school when this happened. Here she is looking very preggers at their high school graduation.

'90210's troubled teen Adrianna discovers she's preggers in high school after an HIV test came out negative but a pregnancy test came out positive. She ended up having the baby but giving her up for adoption. So brave.

Granted Rory doesn't get pregnant while in high school (though she did have a scare at one point), this whole show revolves around Rory and her mom Lorelai, who had her when she was only 16. We love seeing the teen mother/daughter relationship shown 16 years later, ya know?

'Parenthood' bravely tackled the topic of abortion on a recent episode where high schooler Drew got his girlfriend Amy pregnant. She wanted to abort the baby and he was supportive but upset with her decision. The whole episode made us emotional beyond words. It was powerful stuff.

'SLOAT' is basically the epitome of teen pregnancy on TV. Amy got pregnant on season 1 as a freshman in high school. She eventually gives birth to John and now, in the final season of the show, she and Ricky (John's father) are engaged. But Amy's not the only girl who got knocked up at Grant High...

In 2010, Adrian got pregnant with Ben's baby (she got knocked up on revenge sex against Ricky and Amy). Ben and Adrian got engaged and were excited for their new addition, but Adrian's pregnancy ended with their daughter Mercy being a stillborn. We may or may not have cried for hours after watching that episode. Or maybe days.

Then, 'Secret Life' went and did it again in the most recent season where Kathy, Grant High School's new girl, gets pregnant. She ends up giving up her baby girl for adoption. So yeah, 'Secret Life' definitely covered all the teen pregnancy bases with this one.

This show wasn't around for too long, but what we do remember from it was that Lux was born when her parents, Cate and Nate, were teens. Lux ended up in foster care as baby, so clearly the road for her kinda sucked.

And speaking of short-lived shows, 'Underemployed' only lasted one season on MTV, but that one season was awesome. The first episode showed us that Raviva got pregnant immediately after college, and the entire series takes us through her life as a struggling musician and super young mom. We miss this.

When Cheyenne gets knocked up by her boyfriend, Van, when they're just teens, her mom Reba is not too thrilled. But eventually, Van and Cheyenne end up getting married and raising their baby in Reba's house. Some pregnant teens have all the luck.

'Degrassi', like 'Secret Life', showed teen pregnancy in more ways than one. First, pregnant Manny gets an abortion after she finds out she's pregnant (but that episode was too scandalous to air in the US), and then later on in the series Liberty puts her baby up for adoption.

In an awkward turn of events, Theresa gets pregnant by her ex-boyfriend, Ryan, on 'The OC.' She ends up keeping the baby without him knowing, until he finds out a few years later when their son is older. Yup, told ya it was awkward.
