The Duggars are going to have criticism shot their way with this one. The 19 Kids And Counting family left what appears to be a gun lying on the ground right in front of their 5-year-old daughter, Josie!
The Duggars are going to have criticism shot their way with this one. The 19 Kids And Counting family left what appears to be a gun lying on the ground right in front of their 5-year-old daughter, Josie!
The family, who are on vacation in Texas, posted photos from their outdoor excursion and one of the photos shows the youngest Duggar standing in front of a gun, with no supervision!
Commenters have said the gun appears to be a .22 shotgun and are lambasting the family for being careless with the youngster while her older siblings are busy fishing.
The Arkansas natives are gun-enthusiasts, but they also have spoken out about gun safety, especially with 19 kids. But it looks like this one went unnoticed.
In an interview with RadarOnline, Jim Bob Duggar defended the family’s right to the Second Amendment saying: “Baring arms is one of our constitutional rights. We believe it is important for children to learn safety about guns and knives to learn how to use them properly.”

In one episode of the TLC series, Jill Duggar supervised her younger siblings when they wanted to shoot BB guns and Jim Bob and Michelle discussed the importance of being safe around weapons.
Josie is not the first Duggar to be photographed with a gun, either. Jedidiah, 16, was photographed with a 12-gauge shotgun around Christmas. However, in Arkansas where the TLC reality show family lives, children under 18 are allowed to use a gun...as long as they have their parents’ permission.
Jessa Duggar was also photographed last year holding an automatic rifle, labeling the photo “@DontmesswithJessa.”
In 2011, John David Duggar, then 20, was photographed holding three guns with a foreign exchange student.
