The Grammy 2019 nominations are here! From Lady Gaga's outstanding musical performance in A Star is Born to the late Mac Miller's very first Grammy nomination for his album, Swimming, it's bound to be an amazing award show come February 10. Scroll through to get a glimpse of the other nominees.
Gaga has had a big week! On Thursday, A Star is Born was nominated for five Golden Globe awards and now she is taking the Grammy's by storm as well. The box office hit is eligible to win "Record of the Year" and "Song of the Year" for the song "Shallow," which is sung by Gaga and her co-star Bradley Cooper. The song is also up for "Best Song Written for Visual Media" and "Best Pop Duo/Group Performance."
While the 1950's film re-make has become a huge fan favorite, it will be a hard one to win. Also competing for "Best Song Written for Visual Media" is the well-loved track "This Is Me," from The Greatest Showman.
Not only did A Star is Born sweep the Grammy nominees but Gaga's song, "Joanne (Where Do You Think You're Goin'?) was also nominated for "Best Pop Solo Performance."
Mac, who passed away 3 months ago from a drug overdose, was posthumously nominated for his first ever Grammy. The rapper's album, Swimming, is up against Travis Scott's Astroworld, Pusha T's Daytona, Cardi B's Invasion Of Privacy and Nipsey Hussle's Victory Lap for "Best Rap Album."
Cardi's album Invasion of Privacy is also up for "Album of the Year," along with Drake's album Scorpion, Post Malone's album Beerbongs & Bentleys, and more.
Up against each other again for "Record of the Year" is Cardi's song "I Like it," and Drake's "God's Plan." Also up for the running is Zedd, Maren Morris and Grey's track "The Middle," and "Shallow" from A Star is Born.
