Early Monday, the Good Morning America twitter account confirmed the news. “Here they are America! The judges for @DancingABC Juniors REVEALED! Adam Rippon @Adaripp Mandy Moore @nopenother Val Chmerkovskiy @iamValC #DWTSJuniors #DWTS," the tweet read.
Mandy, who choreographed the film La La Land in addition to working on Dancing With The Stars and So You Think You Can Dance, confirmed the news with a tweet of her own. “Uhh...this happened today...it’s official! I am so excited to be a judge alongside @iamvalc and @adaripp on the very first season of DWTS Jrs! Thanks for having us @gma…” she wrote.
Adam won a bronze model in the team event back at the 2018 Pyeonchang Winter Olympics and became a social media darling. The 28-year-old figure skater also won Dancing with the Stars season 26, which only featured athletes.
Val, a dancer from Ukraine, is a DWTS veteran. His most recent appearance was on season 25, where he was paired with Victoria Arlen.
While no official statements have been released by ABC, there are reports that Honey Boo Boo and Larsa Pippen’s daughter Sophia will join the cast of celebrity kids that will compete on the show.
