Alex Rodriguez went to extreme measures before hitting the red carpet with fiancée Jennifer Lopez at the Met Gala last Monday, May 6. The former MLB superstar admitted to dropping a drastic amount of weight in a short amount of time in order to not "look fat" next to her while there. Read on for all the details.

Alex, 43, admitted to dropping over six pounds in two days in order to fit into a size 44 Versace tuxedo.

The fit was four sizes smaller than his usual 48.

He spoke about his weight loss methods in the YouTube vlog. It included a mix of yoga, strategic sweating and stair-running.

“I used to exercise for big games against the Red Sox, now I exercise not to look fat at the Met Ball,” he joked.

He pushed things to a whole new level by going on a liquid diet in order to lose some extra pounds. "I’m going to have to hold my stomach in all night,” he said. “Now I haven’t had steak in four days that gets me very angry.”
