Singing Ventriloquist Darcie Lynne Farmer Wins ‘America’s Got Talent’ Season 12

Darcie Lynne Farmer is the 12th winner of America’s Got Talent! The 12-year-old singing ventriloquist beat out nine other acts to headline her own show at the The Mirage hotel in Las Vegas. Darcie had some fierce competition leading up to the finale, including 10-year-old singer Angelica Hale, who placed second. Darcie’s win came after her knockout Tuesday night performance, in which she wowed the judges with her rendition of “With a Little Help from My Friends” by The Beatles, which she performed with not one but two puppets. Darcie broke down in tears when she won the night.
Angelica gave Darcie a big embrace when she won. She later took to Instagram to say she was crying “happy tears” for her friend’s win.
The night was filled with memorable performances, including a duet between Shania Twain and finalist Mandy Harvey.
Kelly Clarkson sang her song Stronger with Angelica and sixth-place winner Kechie.
Leading up to the finale, the hosts and contestants made their grand entrance on a red carpet. Heidi Klum wowed in this long-sleeved yellow dress!
