New Couple Alert! Angelina Jolie and Jared Leto Are Secretly Dating

According to Heat, the couple was spotted out at a secret dinner in L.A. and have talked on the phone a lot since Jolie's split from Pitt. "Jared's putting the smile back on Ange's face," a source told the magazine. "He's exactly what she needs right now."

Leto and Jolie met in 1999 while filming Girl Interrupted, and reconnected in 2004 and had a fling, just before Jolie met Pitt on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Apparently Leto was the one who ended it, leaving Jolie "crushed."

"Jared is carefree and a little bit crazy—which is so Ange's type," the source said. "He's a campaigner for LGBT rights and works with a number of charities, just like Ange. When she filed for divorce from Brad, one of the first people she heard from was Jared." 

"Jared called her to make sure she was OK, and over the next few weeks, they spoke a lot. They met up in LA for dinner at the Chateau Marmont. It was pretty electric between them. They've stayed friendly all these years and they've always had chemistry."

Apparently even Pitt noticed the chemistry. "He never felt comfortable when they attended Hollywood events and Jared was there," the source said. "It always appeared to bother him, but clearly nothing happened while she was with Brad. Now they've split up, though, there's nothing stopping her and Jared."

"She's in no rush to get serious—not while she's going through this messy divorce and trying to get sole custody, but she's enjoying Jared's attention," the source revealed. "He's really lifting her spirits. Jared isn't looking for commitment, either, and that makes him perfect for Ange right now."
