On Dylan Howard's podcast All Rise, the media heavyweight discussed how Angelina Jolie is "livid" she can't travel with her six children amid a messy custody war with ex Brad Pitt. He sat down with some experts to discuss the issue. Read on for more details and listen to the full podcast below.
Angelina wanted to take her brood — which includes Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Vivienne and Knox — to London to film the sequel to her film Maleficient. Only, she's not legally allowed to amid the bitter custody battle with Brad.
"It's pretty bitter," Jacqueline Newman, a New York City-based divorce lawyer, said of Angie and Brad's divorce proceedings. "What ended up happening was, they really started battling because of the incident that happened on the plane." A few months following their split, it came out that Brad was allegedly drinking and got physical with one of the children on a private plane.
"Often people with two very high-profile careers and high-profile egos don't know how to compromise," added Dr. Kathryn Smerling, a leading family psychologist. "In the case of Angelina Jolie being 'livid' that she can't leave the country, well, you know, in many ways she has to get over it. She's a co-parent, and she does have someone who has a say in what goes on with her children."

"Likely, she's been raising these children as she wishes to raise them," Kathryn continued, "and now she has to face the fact that she is a legal co-parent."
"Brad was very active in the children's lives," Dylan said, "however, in light of that incident aboard the private jet, Angelina was attempting to limit the amount of custody Brad has had with his children." While the family has been laying low, sources revealed that Brad's still been hands-on with his kids behind the scenes.
