Ariana Grande Pays Tribute To Ex Mac Miller On What Would Have Been His 28th Birthday
Ariana Grande is taking a moment to remember her ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller. On Sunday, January 19, the “7 Rings” singer shared a birthday tribute to Instagram in honor of what would have been the rapper’s 28th birthday.
In the video uploaded to social media, Mac played the piano while Ariana, 26, sat down on the couch in awe. The black and white clip also featured an appearance from Mac’s dog, Myron. Keeping her caption short and sweet, Ariana used a blue heart emoji.
Shortly after sharing the video, fans filled the comments section with uplifting words. “My heart, I love you,” one fan wrote. Another shared a similar sentiment, “That’s real.” A third agreed, “I love you.”
Back in September 2018, Mac suffered an accidental overdose, which lead to his untimely death. NBC reported that the Circles artist was supplied with counterfeit oxycodone pills containing fentanyl.

Following his untimely passing, his camp released a posthumous album entitled Circles on January 17. After listening to the album, fans assumed that the Thank U, Next musician made a guest appearance on the project’s fifth track, “I Can See.”
“I’m listening to Mac’s new album and low key I am pretty sure it’s Ariana’s vocal on ‘I Can See,’” one Twitter user wrote. Another added, “I’m crying.” A third user demanded answers, “Someone tell me if it’s Ariana singing the harmonies on ‘I Can See’ before I cry.” In addition, Ariana also posted a cryptic tweet to social media, which added fuel to the fire. “I love adding more harmonies than anyone will ever notice or hear that no one ever asked for or need. I really love nothing more I promise,” she wrote at the time.
If Ariana’s vocals are featured on Mac’s track, this wouldn’t be the first time that the two joined forces together. Back in March 2013, Mac was featured on Ariana’s song entitled “The Way.” The two performed the hit once again for Ariana’s One Love Manchester benefit concert in June 2017.
