Friends stick together through thick, thin, and…rap beefs? After expressing her support for rapper Travis Scott’s new number one single, Ariana Grande is getting slammed on social media for being a “bad friend” to Nicki Minaj.
The Texas native just scored his very first number one hit on the Hot 100 Billboard Chart for “Sicko Mode,” and he celebrated the good news on Twitter. He wrote, “#1 album and #1 single. God Is good.”
Ariana wasted no time sending over her congrats. She wrote, “So f*****g dope. Congratulations.”
But not everyone was happy about the positive exchange. One fan commented, “Mature legend, but low-key we wanted some shade because you did it fair and square but he didn't. But we love you bb.”

The “Thank U, Next” singer replied, “If an artist you stanned were that close to having their first #1 and they did all they could in their power to get it (and they got it), you’d be celebrating. It’s an exciting feeling.”
Perhaps fans expected a bit more bad blood, because as another fan wrote, “Ariana was shading Travis in August" after Nicki got into a public rap feud with him.
As OK! readers will remember, when Travis’ Astroworld took the top spot over Nicki’s long awaited Queen album, she wasn’t too thrilled. At the time, the "Barbie Tingz" rapper accused the 26-year-old of using merch bundles, his girlfriend Kylie Jenner, and his daughter Stormi to help boost his album sales.
Is Ariana was being a bad friend to Nicki by openly supporting Travis? Let us know in the comments.
