Ariana Grande ditches her trademark ponytail. The “Thank You, Next” singer, 26, shocked fans when she revealed her naturally curly hair on Instagram on Tuesday, November 26 shortly after her concert in Tampa, Florida.
“The most hair,” the singer wrote alongside a video of herself stroking the ends of her hair on her Instagram story.
This is the second time fans got a look at Ariana’s natural hair. The “Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored” singer first showed off her natural locks when she posted a throwback picture of herself as a kid back in February 2019.
Fans instantly reacted on Twitter. One user wrote, "She looks so beautiful and kinda different. Iconic hair. Another fan told her, "Do your hair like this more often."
In a lengthy Facebook post in January 2014, the former Nickelodeon addressed that dying her hair red for shows including Victorious and Sam & Cat "completely destroyed" her hair and that her extensions and ponytail helped her feel "comfortable." The singer also mentioned that her hair was "so broken" that it looked "absurd" down.

“My actual hair is so broken that it looks absolutely ratchet and absurd when I let it down,” the singer has said in the post. “As annoying as it is for y’all to look at the same hairstyle all the time, it’s all that works for now and I’m comfortable for the first time in years.” Since then, the pop star has been working on getting it back to a healthy state.
Ariana's Tampa concert came one week after she shared with her fans the struggles she’s been encountering on her Sweetener Tour. The “7 Rings” singer was forced to cancel her tour stop in Lexington, Kentucky due to ongoing health issues.
“Hi my loves so I’m still very sick. I’ve been sick since the last London show,” Ariana wrote on her Instagram Story before canceling the show.
“I don’t know how it’s possible, but my throat and head are still in so much pain. I sound okay, I’m just in a lot of pain and it’s difficult to breathe during the show,” the singer continued. “I am seeing my doctor and trying my very best to get better for tomorrow’s show. The last thing I would ever want to do is cancel a show at this point with so few left.”
