This comes just days after the 26-year-old and her fiancé Pete Davidson skipped out on the Emmy Awards ceremony they were due to attend. She is choosing to keep a low profile while she works through her grief.
However earlier this week, she briefly returned to Instagram to post a heartbreaking tribute to the late rapper. Under a video of the “My Favorite Part” artist, Ariana wrote in part, “i adored you from the day i met you when i was nineteen and i always will.”
In a statement released yesterday, September 18, a rep for the “Sweetener” singer explained, “Given the events of the past couple of years, Ariana is going to take some much-needed time to heal and mend. She will be staying close to home and using this period to spend time with her loved ones and work on new music without deadline. She thanks her fans for their understanding.”
