Ariana Grande’s world was turned upside-down in 2018, so it would sort of make sense that her Christmas tree would be too. Read on to find out why the singer has an upside-down Christmas tree this year.
The “Into You” songstress embraced her topsy-turvy aesthetic while decorating her New York City pad.
On Tuesday, she posted a dimly lit photo (see here) of her apartment, where an upside-down Christmas tree hung from the ceiling.
Her brother Frankie did the same, only he shared a fully lit photo. He captioned his photo (see here) the same way the tree appeared, upside-down, with “Waiting for Santa.”
It’s an idea Ariana’s had since June, when she responded to a fan’s question about why she wanted an upside down Christmas tree. Turns out she got the inspiration from her friend Aaron.

At the time, she was also engaged to Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson. However, that fizzled out shortly after Mac’s death. Things don’t seem to be that great between them currently, as Pete reportedly refused to see Ariana when she rushed to check on him at 30 Rock after he shared a troubling Instagram post.
