Asia Argento Is Fired From 'X Factor Italy' After Sexual Abuse Scandal Surfaces

Asia Argento has been let go from her new role as an X Factor Italy judge after claims of her sexually abusing her former child co-star came to light earlier this summer. Keep scrolling to find out more about her departure.
The Italian actress and producer will appear in the first seven episodes of the singing competition show. But for the live show, airing October 25, a new judge will take her place.
The network and production companies behind the show, Sky Italia and FremantleMedia, issued a statement highlighting that they “would have no choice but to take note of it and put an end to the collaboration.”
This news comes after she was accused of sexual abuse by her former costar Jimmy Bennett. The now 22-year-old actor appeared with her in the 2004 film, The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things.

He claimed that she paid him $380,000 to keep quiet after he accused Asia of sexually assaulting him in a room at The Ritz-Carlton in California in 2013.
The 42-year-old is also a Harvey Weinstein accuser and a #MeToo leader. She claimed he forced her to perform oral sex on him in the late 90s.
