Aubrey O'Day looked unrecognizable in a series of selfies she posted on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, October 2. The singer applied the bright orange filter to her hair but that wasn't the only thing that was different. While it could have just be a case of over contouring, her nose appeared noticeably thinner and her lips appeared overly plumped.
Aubrey, 35, has been getting a lot of backlash over her new look on social media. "What did you do to your face? You were so much prettier before all the plastic surgery," one fan wrote. "Girl stop while you're ahead. This is not a good look," another added.
Aubrey has addressed her changing appearance multiple times over the years but she has never publicly admitted to having plastic surgery. "My makeup — how much or how little I have on — is constantly affecting the way people see me in regards to everybody thinking I’ve had plastic surgery. Sometimes I’ll look at pictures and think that maybe I don’t look like myself there. My eyes do look different or my lips look really big … It could’ve been a lip plumper, or a bad makeup artist, or too much makeup or too little makeup," she told CelebBuzz in 2011.
In the same interview, the Danity Kane singer admitted that self-esteem and confidence didn't come naturally to her. "Everybody at some point and to some degree wants to be appreciated and accepted by others. It's an ongoing process. I don't think that there's ever a quick fix to completely loving yourself in any phase," she added.
Wendy Williams took notice of Aubrey's drastic makeover during her Hot Topics segment in July 2019. "What did she used to look like? She’s really young. You don’t start doing that stuff until you get to a particular age. She’s going to have to keep up all that filler and work and stuff," the TV personality said.
Aubrey didn't take too kindly to Wendy's remarks and let her have it on Twitter. "Ma, u got so much to say when I’m not sitting in front of you, why don’t you be a real one and run your mouth like this face to face. I dare you. I’ll clear my f**king calendar,” she tweeted.
The Ex on the Beach star seems to have had enough of the criticism because she opted to make her Instagram account private on October 2.
