'The Baby-Sitters Club' Is Getting A 10-Episode Netflix Reboot

Throwback Thursday! Netflix announced today, February 28, that Ann M. Martin’s much-loved best-selling book series The Baby-Sitters Club will be getting a 10-episode reboot.

Ann published over 35 novels of the series between 1986 and 2000 while over 200 others were ghostwritten.

The dramedy series will follow the characters Kristy, Mary Anne, Claudia, Stacey as they run their babysitting company while navigating the highs and lows of being tweens.

The Vice President of kids and family content at Netflix, Melissa Cobb told The Hollywood Reporter, "The themes of The Baby-Sitters Club ​still resonate 30 years after the original book series was released, and there has never been a more opportune time to tell an aspirational story about empowering young female entrepreneurs.”
