Chris Soules’ court case is nearing its end. The former Bachelor star is reportedly close to a plea deal stemming from a fatal April 2017 car crash, in which Chris rear-ended a tractor, killing the driver.
According to the Des Moines Register, Chris’ attorneys expect to reach a plea deal within 10 days. The legal team withdrew two court motions Monday “based upon plea discussions between the parties.”
Last year, Chris was charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident. The 36-year-old Iowa farmer rear-ended 66-year-old Kenny Mosher in Aurora, Iowa, on April 24, 2017.
While Chris called 911, administered CPR, and stayed with Kenny until paramedics arrived, he left minutes later.

Chris was arrested following the incident and later released on a $10,000 cash bond. On Tuesday, District Court Judge Andrew Dryer granted a motion by Chris’ attorneys to end his supervision and the need to receive written consent to travel out of state.
The Judge also granted a motion to “remove his case from the trail docket.” "The parties are presently working on the final details of a plea agreement and should have it completed in the next 10 days," the Bachelor star’s motion read.
