It's almost that time of year again when ABC's The Bachelor debuts yet another season. Come next Monday night, January 7, "Bachelor Nation" fans will finally get to see Colton Underwood in the hot seat. Recently, the TV personality gave the world a bit of a preview. “It’s no surprise to me that people are going to view the Fantasy Suites as this big week for me,” Colton told People, who revealed on Becca Kufrin's season on The Bachelorette that he is a virgin. “People are probably going to put a lot of pressure on it… but for me, it was more about the private moments."
While the 26-year-old's abstinence definitely made plenty of headlines and tons of people's jaws drop, he never intended for his virginity to be such a talking point.
“I had no plans to share that I was a virgin,” he explained. “It was something in the moment with Becca. It was important for her to know. I didn’t think it was going to be a big deal but obviously, a lot of people latched onto that.”

Although the former professional football player is "grateful" for all the support he has received after opening up about his virginity, he was quick to tell People that being a virgin is only a “small part of who I am.”
“It’s a decision I consciously made, but it’s just something that makes me into who I am. There is a stigma around athletes and I think the more that us as humans can do to break those, the better," he shared.
