Demi Burnett is queer and proud! In the new trailer for the upcoming season of Bachelor In Paradise, it is revealed that she entered a relationship with another woman. The same-sex couple is making history as the first on The Bachelor franchise.
“I don’t care who sees this,” Demi, 24, said in the promo before she started to kiss another woman.
“I know that I love this girl. I’m just so happy that I found her,” she said in a confessional. “And I can definitely picture being with her for the rest of my life.”
The woman’s identity is never revealed in the promo, we just know that she is a blonde. Thus far, the only blonde women that have been publicly confirmed for the show are Hannah Godwin, Annaliese Puccini, and Haley Ferguson.
Things take a dramatic twist when Demi has a hot tub makeout with Derek Peth. “Last night, Demi and I had a really fun time in the hot tub,” he told cameras. “That’s not something I should have to hide.”

Demi broke down over the kiss with Derek. Through tears she told the mystery women, “I just don’t want to lose you.”
“Spoiler alert: I’m a queer queen ???? #BachelorInParadise,” Demi tweeted on July 22.
Her castmates from Colton Underwood’s season commented their support. Caelynn Miller-Keyes told her, “You are an absolute queen and I love you so freaking much ❤️.” Onyeka Ehie similarly wrote, “My f**king girl ? beautiful inside and out and love you for it ?.”
