‘Bachelor’ Creator Announces New Pageant-Style Dating Show ‘The Proposal’

Bachelor fans, get excited! You’ve got a new show to binge. Mike Fleiss, the mastermind behind the hit ABC series, is launching a new show, The Proposal, and it promises to fulfill any dating show needs you are somehow still lacking from The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise, and The Bachelor Winter Games.
The Proposal will feature “10 eligible daters competing in four pageant-style rounds to win the heart of a mystery suitor or ‘suitress,’ whose identity is concealed from them,” ABC said in a press release.
The first round will be about making first impressions, and the daters will have to “woo the mystery suitor with their words.” They’ll then compete in a “beachwear round.”
In the third round, daters will “answer the mystery suitor’s most pressing romantic questions.” If daters make it to round four, they must then seek the “seal of approval from the mystery suitor’s most trusted family member.”

Daters will be eliminated after each round, until there are just two left. These two will finally get to meet the mystery suitor and “present a romantic proposal of their choice.” The suitor must choose whose proposal to accept!
The Proposal airs this summer on ABC. Jesse Palmer, former NFL quarterback and Season 5 Bachelor, will host the 10-episode series.
