Bachelor contestant Victoria Fuller was caught off guard during a one-on-one date with Peter Weber when her ex, country star Chase Rice performed! In a preview for the January 27 episode, Victoria reveals she dated the singer after he gave her and Peter a private concert.
“I have a surprise for Victoria. We have our own private Chase Rice concert,” Peter, 28, explained in a preview after asking the Bachelor contestant on a one-on-one date.
The private country concert was a surprise for Victoria F., 25, in more ways than one! When the contestant walked into the venue with Peter she immediately turned her head away from the stage.
Following the date, Victoria F. told Peter, “Chase and I dated.”
“Wait, what?” Peter said in shock before Victoria walked away in tears and said, “I can’t do this.”
Chase opened up about the awkward situation at the CMAs in November 2019. “They set everybody up. I didn’t sign up for that,” he told The Morning Toast podcast. “That’s my problem with it. At the end of the day, they have a job to do. I don’t have to be a part of that.”
The “Eyes On You” singer reassured fans that he didn’t go on the show to win Victoria F. back. “There ain’t no love triangle, I’ll tell you that. The love is on their side,” he said.
He added, “I wanted to go on there and promote my music. But ABC production brought a little extracurricular activity into that.”
Chase reiterated his frustration about the moment in an interview with People at the CMAs. “I talked to Dan + Shay, I was like, ‘Is it worth it?’ They said absolutely. I wanted to go out there and promote ‘Lonely If You Are’ and ‘Eyes On You’ and I did.” The country singer added, “I will be putting out new music in January.”
“I was involved, and I was involved more than I wanted to be involved with. That will be coming out I’m sure in January,” the “Three Chords & The Truth” singer concluded.
