‘Torture And Manipulation!’ Bachelor Secrets Exposed In Shocking Tell-All

ABC’s hit reality TV series the Bachelor looks like a documented fairy tale where contestants travel to exotic spots around the world and (hopefully) fall in love. But behind all the fantasy suits, kisses, and roses is ‘torture’ and 'manipulation!' Former producer, Sarah Gertrude Shapiro, revealed all the shocking behind-the-scene secrets you won't believe!

Sarah, who was forced on the job based upon a contract she had signed, said it was the worst job ever! “The amount you have to torture women, was unbearable,” she told In Touch.

As viewers know, the Bachelor is filled with crazy drama but you can bet producers are behind all of it! Shapiro said she was paid to manipulate contestants for juicy story lines. “I was playing on women’s weaknesses," she said.

“Women on the Bachelor are basically in a CIA torture chamber with no phone, Internet, friends or family and just one guy they don’t know much about who’s like a God figure”, she explained. “I was a hard-core feminist— it was the worst job for me.”

After two long years, the former producer begged her bosses to fire her. And now she couldn't be happier working on her new show called UnREAL, a scripted Lifetime series that exposes a producer's questionable job on a fictional dating reality show. “My daily life used to consist of coming up with romantic dates and making girls cry, she said. “Now I sit in a writers room with some of the smartest people I’ve ever met and come up with stories that I love and work with these great actors. It’s my dream job.”
