Becca Kufrin is engaged! During last night’s Bachelorette finale, the 28-year-old said yes to suitor Garrett Yrigoyen, who proposed with a stunning 4-carat diamond ring designed by famed jeweler Neil Lane. Neil spoke with People about the gorgeous ring, and why he went above and beyond to make a ring unlike any other for the Bachelorette star.
“I wanted to make a ring that was totally different than anything I had done for the show before. I wanted to create something very special for Becca, especially considering everything that happened with Arie,” Neil told the mag, referring to Bachelor Arie Luyendyk, Jr., who infamously took back his proposal to Becca and ran off with runner up Lauren Burnham instead.
“I wanted it to be elegant, quite glamorous and I wanted to use gold,” Neil said of the 18-carat gold band, which he typically makes platinum. “It’s a whole different concept — it has three oval stones, which helps celebrate both of them as a couple and the third diamond represents their future together.”
The band itself is decorated with 84-full-cut smaller diamonds, making the weight nearly 4 carats. “I wanted it to be elegant and to look effortless,” Neil said of the ring, adding that it was “not overly complicated or architectural.”

Neil revealed that Garrett “wasn’t nervous at all” about picking out the ring. “He was full of joy and his heart seemed wide open. It was a lot of fun for me to see so much love!” Neil admitted.
“You could tell Garrett was genuinely smitten, and just so excited and enthusiastic to be with Becca – he was funny, sweet and charismatic,” Neil shared. “He took the process of picking out the ring so, so seriously and seemed to enjoy it. He really studied them thoroughly and had a grin on his face, from ear to ear, the whole time.”
