The Bachelorette is only a few weeks into their new season and already there is one contestant who has fallen head over heals for Becca Kufrin — literally! Read on to find out what happened when David took a terrible spill.

David has been one of several suitors in the Bachelorette house vying for the attention of Becca, and after a few weeks on the show he’s finally earned it — though maybe not in the way he wanted to.

As it turns out, on the June 11 episode of the show David took a horrible spill off the top bed bunk in the house, causing him to be rushed to the emergency room where it was determined that he had a concussion and a broken nose. OMG!

But did that mean David was no longer an eligible bachelor? NOPE. In fact, he returned to the house shortly after his stay in the ICU — bruised face and all. He was clearly NOT about to lose out on is chance with Becca.

That meant, though, that audiences got a glimpse of his face, which was not pretty.

But all’s well that ends well with David, because even despite his medical drama, Becca actually gave him a rose! He promised her that he’d sleep on the bottom bunk from now on. If his fellow contestants were shocked that he made it through despite everything, they didn’t show it. Chris even said, “What he endured, we wish upon no one.”
