Joelle “JoJo” Fletcher dropped a bombshell on Ben Higgins during The Bachelor when she showed him a letter from her ex boyfriend. But according to her ex Chad Rookstool, JoJo got back together with him then dumped him to be on The Bachelorette!
The former boyfriend from Dallas, Tex. told In Touch that they started dating again after Ben dumped JoJo in November but the 25-year-old broke it off with him to find love on the ABC show! They had previously dated for more than two years before he dumped her in June 2015 pre-The Bachelor.
“As soon as she got home, we started hanging out every day and being intimate again,” he told the magazine. “We were sneaking around the whole time The Bachelor was airing because she wasn’t allowed to be seen with me.”

He continued: “When she got home, she kept telling me she loved me and that we should have stayed together and fought through our issues. She said we would’ve been married by now, and I agreed with her. She told me there were many nights she’d cry thinking about me and our dog and question whether she made the right decision by being there.”

Rookstool, who owns a hair salon, told the magazine that he also believes JoJo was never in love with Ben and just got “sucked up” in the insanity of the show.
“JoJo told me, ‘Chad, come on, you know it was TV,’” he said. “I think she just got sucked up in the show rather than actually trying to have legit feelings. JoJo thought the show would help branch out her career. She said it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

He said their relationship ended for a second time when JoJo, who is now reportedly hitting it off with Aaron Rodgers' little brother Jordan, dumped him after she got the offer to be The Bachelorette.

“JoJo said, ‘I don’t know if I’m the next Bachelorette, but let’s just have a conversation as if I am,’” he said. “She tried to tell me she wasn’t saying goodbye forever — but I told her that I’m not going to sit around and wait for her this time, and that was it.” Ouch!
