PHOTOS‘Below Deck’ Star Captain Sandy Reacts To Chef Mila’s Homophobic Comments

Below Deck Mediterranean star Captain Sandy just found out one of her crew members, Chef Mila Kolomeitseva has been making homophobic comments. In a preview for the season 4 premiere on June 10, the chef is caught making remarks about her coworker Travis Michalzik’s sexuality which caused the fellow crew to call her out.
Mila pointed out Travis’ nose ring and said she assumed it meant he was gay. She told her crewmates, “I don't want to see a man kissing a man in front of me.”
She continued, “In your home, you guys can do whatever you want. I don't want my son to be growing up and seeing two men kissing each other and thinking this is normal because this is not f**king normal!"
Travis called her out on her bigoted remarks and stewardess Aesha Scott shot back, “It is normal! Oh my God, you are such a homophobe!”

Captain Sandy told TooFab in an interview on June 3, ahead of the preview being released, "I heard it through chatter. Like, the crew don't run to me and say, 'Did you hear what happened?!' They're not like that. They basically keep it to themselves. But someone mentioned Mila’s comments, and I just thought, 'Wow.'"
Captain Sandy just revealed in May that she is dating gospel singer Leah Shafer and recently moved to Denver, Colorado to live with her girlfriend. The reality star is also due to join Andy Cohen at NYC Pride March on June 30 along with many other Bravo stars.
The crew boss added, "So that's her opinion. That doesn't reflect me. She can have her opinion. I don't really care. Doesn't reflect on me. It reflects on her.”
