Casey Affleck has been rolling in good reviews for his film Manchester by the Sea, and his big brother Ben Affleck is tired of pretending to be happy over his brother’s success.
“There’s been this pretty unhealthy rivalry this awards season, because Ben was desperate to be nominated for The Accountant,” a source told exclusively.
Unfortunately for the Argo director, his latest films, including Live By Night, haven’t been well received, neither by critics nor at the box office, whereas Casey’s film, Manchester by the Sea, has won the actor a Golden Globe and garnered six Oscar nominations.

“Basically Casey’s overtaken Ben and he can’t take it,” claimed the source.
Why the reason for the dark change of heart? The insider blames Ben’s divorce from Jennifer Garner. “They used to be close, but everyone—his own brother included—has noticed a sense of darkness and bitterness in Ben since Jennifer divorced him.”
